Your information

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains how Sajilo handles information on its local-services website and Android app. Sajilo connects customers with approved service providers in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India. The Android app displays the same online service; its account and booking information is processed by the Sajilo server.

1. Information we collect

Avoid putting unnecessary sensitive information in job descriptions or provider biographies.

2. Location and Android permissions

When you choose to use your current location, the website or Android app asks for location permission. A selected booking location is sent to Sajilo when you submit the booking. You can refuse permission and select your service location manually on the map.

The Android app does not add background location tracking, camera, microphone, contacts or SMS access. Tapping a helpline link opens your phone's dialer; you decide whether to place the call. You can change location permission in your browser or Android settings.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, review provider applications, list approved providers, process and assign bookings, show booking updates, coordinate services, respond to support requests and protect the service from misuse.

4. Who can see information

5. Cookies and third-party resources

Sajilo uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect account operations. You can clear cookies through your browser or app settings, but this can sign you out.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, scripts/styles from unpkg and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. These services receive technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser details. Map-tile requests also indicate the area displayed on the map. They handle that information under their own policies:

The current Android container does not add advertising, native analytics or payment SDKs. Do not send payment-card details through job descriptions or support messages.

6. Storage, retention and security

Account and booking records are stored on the Sajilo server. The current service does not automatically delete those records after a fixed period. Information remains stored unless removed through a verified support request or an appropriate administrative action. Some records may need to be retained for disputes, security or legal obligations; contact support to discuss your particular request.

Sajilo uses password hashing, access controls and secure HTTPS connections on the published service. No online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your password private and report suspected account misuse to support.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You can decline location permission, choose a map pin manually and contact Sajilo about access to, correction of or deletion of your account and personal information. Call the helpline below and identify the account concerned. Do not give us your password. Identity may need to be verified before a request can be acted on.

There is currently no self-service account-deletion button. A request to support is not an instant deletion, and records subject to a legitimate retention requirement may not be removed immediately.

8. Children

Sajilo is intended for adults arranging or providing local services, not for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support so the matter can be reviewed.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Review this page before providing new information.

10. Contact Sajilo
